ImpactU Graduation Announcement: Building Improvement Capability in Our Community

On April 6, 2022, 22 action-oriented individuals graduated from ImpactU’s seventh  class, a six-month, hands-on course designed to provide community leaders with an in-depth understanding of improvement science facilitated by the Anderson Center's Leadership Academy. 

All graduates led a project team focused on achieving measurable improvement around a specific need in their organization aligned with a shared community goal described by All Children Thrive (ACT).  Project achievements include (see the attached document for a full list of accomplishments): 

  • Cincinnati Health Department increased the percentage of patients receiving a Lead Screening at a neighborhood health center from 70% to 100% and at Oyler (one local CPS school) over 80% of students, ages 4-18, received preventative Dental treatment impacting 525 students in Preschool-12th Grade

  • Community Action Agency increased the percentage of children ages 3-5 enrolled in a center who are up to date on dental exams from ~33% to 55% 

  • Hamilton Co. Job & Family Services increased the percentage of allegation addresses entered into a database from 68% to 78%

  • 4C for Children increased the percentage of families with successful follow-ups from 80% to ~95%

  • Cincinnati Public Schools decreased the number of paraprofessional vacancies from 176 to ~150
