COVID-19: Cases stay on downward trend so Hamilton County takes break from weekly meetings

Hamilton County officials have put weekly COVID-19 briefings on pause for the first time this year as cases and hospitalizations continue to dwindle in the region. 

Commissioner Denise Driehaus previously said the weekly COVID-19 updates would be provided "as needed." Wednesday was the first day since January without a weekly meeting, which had been held weekly on Wednesdays by Driehaus and health commissioner Greg Kesterman. The pause comes as the winter surge of the omicron variant is slowing down just as fast as it rose.
